Hey you! greetings and a quick update..

Hi all! I've got another fun video to share with you today - it's on the Greeting You Simply Created Card Kit that really makes card giving super quick and easy!

I also wanted to share some not so great news for me - I'm currently without my personal laptop. :(  So sad to report that it was stolen this week while I was on a work trip.  Needless to say, it's put a little bit of a snag on my ability to post and edit pictures for my blog.  I'm hoping that I can be up and running in a week or so, but will keep you posted on the progress.

In the meantime, I appreciate you bearing with me.  Hope you enjoyed the video!

Thanks for popping by and I'll see catch up with you all soon.

Flower Patch {fun!}

Hi all! Happy Friday! I wanted to share this cool video on one of my FAVORITE stamp sets in the new catalog - Flower Patch!  It's a photopolymer stamp set and what's great about it is it uses "two step stamping" where you layer on the stamps.  Plus, there's a coordinating framelits set where you can create layered dimensions as well. LOVE LOVE LOVE this set!  Hope you enjoy the video.

Enjoy your Friday!  Have a great weekend!

It's a {Monster} birthday!

Hello blog friends! I've got a quick share today of a Birthday card I made for our friend, Liam. He had a Monster's Inc. themed party this past weekend, so I thought I'd try my hand at making a "Mike" card.  Here's another look at the card:

Isn't this little monster fun?  He's so easy to put together too!  And, I just LOVE the thinlits card die!  It's got such a cool fold and presentation.  I personalized the card using the Sans and Stripes photopolymer stamp set (this alphabet was so popular, it's sold out!)

Here's the recipe for you:

{Monster's Inc Birthday}
Stamps: Sans and Stripes Alphabet photopolymer set
Inks: Pacific Point
Cardstock: Pool Party, Whisper White, Gumball Green, Basic Black, Pacific Point
Accessories: Arrows Embossing Folder, Circle Card Thinlits die, retired DSP, Circle framelits, 3/4"Circle and Owl Builder (for smaller circle) punches
Thanks for stopping in.  Have a great day!

Blog Hop Winners + check out the {new} catty!

HI all!  Hope you enjoyed the New Catty Blog Hop! It's been a while since I've participated in a hop, so I have to say I felt a bit rusty getting back in. But, it turns out, it's like riding a bicycle...once you know how, it all comes back. And, I was pleasantly reminded of how fun blog hops are!!   Besides the fun projects, I hope you guys also got a chance to check out the beautiful new 2014-2015 Stampin'Up! Catalog!  If not, you can click on the image below...

I just LOVE all the gorgeous stamps and paper crafting products!  All the pages are like eye candy.  I know viewing the catty online is great instant gratification, though there's nothing like flipping the pages of the actual catalog and oohhing and ahhing at everything in person.  Right?  Well, dear friends, for the month of June, I'm offering anyone that places an online order of $50 or more a catalog for free.  How does that sound?  For you local customers, you can send me your orders directly and you can get your hands on a catalog that way, too!

Oh, but back to the task at hand!  It's time to announce the 2 Winners of the blog hop!  Are you ready?  I have to say the odds were EXCELLENT, since there were only 8 peeps to compete with!  And the 2 lucky winners are....
#1 and #5, who happen to be:

Beebeebabs is the lucky winner of the the Undefined Carving Kit and Regina is the lucky winner of the Simply Sent Card Kit!!  Congratulations to you both!! I'll be emailing you both to get your snail mail so I can send off your goodies to you ASAP!

Thank you all for visiting and playing along on the Blog Hop!  Me and my gals had a lot of fun putting it on, so I'll keep you posted on when we might schedule the next one. :)

Bye for now!

Happy June! Blog hop time for SU's New catty + BLOG CANDY!

Hi friends! Happy June to you all! I'm excited to welcome you to the the first Crafty Paper Confectionista's Blog Hop for the Stampin'Up! New Catty, which you will be able to view and order from starting June 2 at noon.  AND, don't miss out on the Blog Candy at the bottom of the post!  For a chance to win, all you have to do is leave me a comment and following my blog by midnight on June 2nd! You can follow my blog with Bloglovin or from Google Friend Connect. Easy peasy, right?!  Good luck to you!

I'm the first stop and today I'm sharing the Bloom with Hope Hostess Stamp Set available in the 2014-2015 Stampin'Up! catalog and using In Colors card stock for the background.  For this first card the background is Hello Honey and I colored the pretty bloom with the Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities marker sets.  If you look closely, you'll see there are a 5 rhinestones in the center that I also colored in with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.  Isn't that cool?  That's one of the features with the Blendabilities markers - since they're alcohol based, you can use them to color in the rhinestones, pearls, and buttons to match or coordinate with your projects.  So fun!

Here's a closer look at the bloom and the rhinestone center:

I used two of the three Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities markers - the darkest one closest to the flower center and the middle tone for the rest of the flower.  One last look at the card, glistening out in the sunshine.  I love how this flower pops against the Hello Honey background.  Such a Happy and cheery card!

Here's another card I created using the Lost Lagoon card stock as the card base.

For this card, I used another flower image in Bloom with Hope stamp set and also used the new Lullaby DSP.  I added some texture to the card by embossing it with the Honeycomb embossing folder.  I colored in these sweet flowers with the Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities markers AND I also colored in the pretty Vintage Faceted button, too!

What I love about the Blendabilities markers is that they truly add dimension to the image - I also discovered that I really enjoy coloring these images in and watching them come to life as I add color or shading to the images.  You can see that I used a darker marker in the Daffodil Delight family around the center of the flower.  By coloring in a circular motion, you are able to blend the colors more seamlessly.

Here are the recipes for both cards:

{Happy Birthday Bloom}
Cardstock: Hello Honey, Whisper White
Stamp Set: Bloom with Hope
Inks: Black Memento Ink, Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities
Accessories: Deco Labels Framelits, Banner Framelits, Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Gold Sequin Trim
{Congratulations Happy Flowers}
